Lymphatic Drainage Protocols
Our friend, Karina Moses of Beautology Labs, wrote the below article in Dec ’22 and we want to share it here because it provides great detail on reshaping your skin surface using non-invasive technical but it also cites some good sources.
Reshaping Facial Tissue
We all know a carefully curated skin care regimen that includes clean ingredients and powerful actives will help deliver glowing, healthy skin. However, there is much more to that youthful-looking glow than we may think. The high brows, prominent cheekbones, and slender jowls seen on models and on social media may be a source of inspiration, but rarely are the behind-the-scenes of these appearances explained. The use of Botox and/or fillers to achieve these cosmetic ideals has exploded in the last 10 years but, did you know that there are other, less invasive ways to achieve that model-like glow and face structure?
Compared to fillers and Botox, other more natural methods to reshape facial tissue have received much less attention. This is likely because they often take a little more time to see results or are much newer technologies. These diverse and powerful methods come with the added benefit of never needing to be painfully dissolved (like in the case of old, migrated filler) or kept up with as frequently (Botox every 2-3 months). Below, we highlight both DIY and MedSpa techniques that can be used to lift the face and bring that high-fashion, au naturel glow one step closer.
The Principle
Facial tissue reshaping is often used to lift the appearance of the brows and the cheekbones or to refine the jawline. It’s important to note that the most common causes of subtle changes to the facial structure are usually inflammation and swelling which are quickly eliminated with facial massage (Cryo Toning, Gua Sha), hydration, better sleep, and a cleaner diet [1,2]. Once these bases are covered, it may be worth it to pursue the natural, more permanent options commonly available at MedSpas. Listed below are a wide variety of non-invasive or minimally invasive techniques used to refine the soft tissue of the face to achieve a tighter, more lifted look [3–7]. Remember that hyaluronic acid fillers do not alter the muscle or soft tissue and are simply short-term, superficial solutions.
Non-invasive:
- Lymphatic massage
- Gua Sha
- Facial exercises
- Microcurrent facial
- Ultrasound facial
Minimally Invasive:
Radiofrequency/Microneedling facials
- FaceTite
- Morpheus8
Botulinum toxin (Botox)

Takeaways
When it comes to improving the overall appearance of the skin, always start slow and try to keep it clean. Simple and better lifestyle habits can help the skin glow and reduce any puffiness that may be causing you to over-critique your appearance. Once all the basics have been covered, there are many traditional and new-age technologies that can naturally stimulate collagen production and tone facial muscles to give that youthful, springy glow. The techniques we listed will help you avoid having to maintain expensive fillers by providing natural, long-lasting improvements to the underlying facial tissue.

Lymphatic Facial
Lymphatic drainage helps drain toxins from your skin and aids in the overall flow of lymph fluid so that it can be disposed of through the lymphatic system.
Vibration Plate
The vibration plate is great for speeding up metabolism, reducing body fat percentage, and strengthening your bones, but did you know that you can also use the platform for lymphatic drainage? That’s right! You can take advantage of the whole body vibration therapy for lymphatic drainage that is aided by the vibrating plate and clear the excess fluids and toxins in your lymph vessels and lymph nodes.
Usually, the excess lymph waste occurs due to unhealthy eating, lack of physical activity, and poor sleeping habits. These negative lifestyle factors clog up the lymph system and affect the normal work of many other systems, including immune function. In these circumstances, health specialists recommend lymphatic drainage. In the following lines, we are going to show you how you can do that with the help of the vibration plate.
NOTE: Add on a Cryotherapy session whole body cryotherapy helps stimulate the lymph system via vasodilatation and vasoconstriction. The expansion and contraction of the blood vessels help circulate fluid through the lymphatic system.

CryoGlow Facial &
Lymphatic Massage
The CryoGlow beautification service includes a 30-minute Cryo T-shock facial + a 15-minute lymphatic drainage facial massage + a 30-minute Celluma anti-aging infrared light therapy session.
After the initial consultation, the session begins with the Cryo T-Shock facial which is for Anti-Aging, Wrinkles, Brightness, or Toning. Next, the lymphatic drainage facial massage begins where the technician will use the cryo-toning tools to drain fluid from the facial lymph nodes to drain away toxins and encourage your lymphatic system to deliver fresh nutrients to your skin cells. Finally, you are treated to an infrared light therapy facial to reduce swelling and smooth out wrinkles.
Customers are encouraged to take advantage of a free 12-min vibration therapy session to stimulate your cells, circulatory system, and lymph system to increase blood flow, and oxygen intake, and help flush out toxins.

Lymphatic Massage
The CryoGlow beautification service includes a 30-minute Cryo T-shock facial + a 15-minute Cryo T-shock Chin Add on+ a 15-minute lymphatic drainage facial massage + a 30-minute Celluma anti-aging infrared light therapy session. What is a lymphatic drainage facial massage? As the name suggests, using massage techniques, lymphatic drainage is “draining” fluid from your lymph nodes. This gentle massage targets the lymph nodes and drains away toxins, encouraging your lymphatic system to deliver fresh nutrients to your skin cells.
Cryo T-shock Fat Reduction
+ Shake Plate + Celluma Facial
Customers receive the following services with this booking: 1 hour Cryo T-shock on a body part, 12 minutes of shaker plate after the session, and 30 minutes of a Celluma acne, anti-aging, and wrinkles session.
This session uses Cryoslimming which is a non-invasive method that induces lipolysis (the breaking down of fat cells) to reduce body fat without damaging other tissues. The T-Shock works by alternating warm and cold treatments directly applied to the skin.
Fat cells (in comparison to other tissue types) are more vulnerable to the effects of cold therapy, which causes what’s known as fat cell apoptosis, a naturally controlled cell death. This leads to the release of cytokines and other inflammatory mediators that gradually eliminate the affected fat cells. These inflammatory cells digest the affected fat cells and lipids from these fat cells are released by the lymphatic system. The result: a significant reduction of the thickness of the fat layer.
Customers are encouraged to take advantage of a free 12-min vibration therapy session to stimulate your cells, circulatory system, and lymph system to increase blood flow, and oxygen intake, and help flush out toxins. Since muscle is known to burn more calories than fat as your metabolic rate increases, even while standing still, the vibration therapy session will stimulate fat-burning in over 90% of all muscle groups, while producing up to 30 involuntary reflexes per second.
Finally, you are treated to an infrared light therapy facial to reduce swelling and smooth out wrinkles.
